Pottery Care

Thank you for choosing handmade local Arizona pottery from Glazed & Confused Pottery. Each piece is made by hand, which means small variations in shape, size, color, and glaze movement are completely normal.

Food Safety

Functional pieces are food-safe unless stated otherwise in the product description. Decorative pieces, seconds, or experimental glaze pieces may have special notes listed with the item.

Dishwasher Use

Most functional pottery can go in the dishwasher, but handwashing is recommended to help your piece last as long as possible.

For the gentlest care, wash with mild soap, warm water, and a soft sponge.

Microwave Use

Most functional pieces are microwave-safe unless otherwise stated. However, handmade pottery can get hot in the microwave, so use caution when removing it.

Pieces with metallic lustre, gold detailing, or special decorative finishes should NOT be microwaved.

Thermal Shock

Do not expose pottery to sudden temperature changes. Avoid moving a piece directly from the refrigerator into a hot oven, or pouring boiling liquid into a very cold piece.

Sudden temperature changes will most likely cause cracking.
